What is in a Name?
Our
name is meant to reflect our calling and our mission within the Lord Y'shua's
Church. Kadash is a Hebrew word meaning:
sanctified,
consecrated, set apart, renewed, restored.
Within the context of our
name, Kadash is meant to reflect our renewed and restored life with our Heavenly
Father through our Lord and Messiah Y'shua.
The Hebrew word Chai means life,
in the sense of the abundance of joyful life having been restored to a right and
full relationship to God.
Kesher is a Hebrew word which means: to
connect, to link to, to become a connection. In the context of our
name, Kesher then reflects the calling and command of our Lord Y'shua in the
Book of Ephesians to promote and achieve unity, rather than denominational or
religious division.
Lastly, yet most important is the Hebrew word, Avodot. This
word means to become, by my free will, a bond-servant. It means that I choose,
in the fullness of love, faith, and oneness to join together in a common cause;
to promote the cause of Messiah Y'shua and his Torah. What then is in a name? In
our name we mean to be identified as group of believers, called, ordained, and
anointed of God the Father in the newness of our redeemed and restored lives,
filled with the joy of the Lord, desiring to be and become a connection, a
conduit, in the righteousness of God through Messiah Y'shua. In our love for our
Father and His Messiah, we have chosen to become bond-servants to Him; and by extension
we become unifying co-workers in the cause of our Lord.
Kadash Chai Kesher
Avodot is our anointing, our destiny... our mission.
How We Fulfill Our Mission...
KCKA is a Hebraic Christian ministry
dedicated to carrying out the commands and precepts of the Lord Y'shua to Israel
through the work of His Church. In that, we will seek out opportunities to build
confidence in new congregations and mentor established congregations under our
annointed covering (our khuppah), spreading the Word of our living Messiah, and restoring obedience and
observance to the whole Word of God. KCKA will seek out opportunities to teach
the Word of God, from its Hebraic Christian perspective, assisting the believer
in developing his faith in the Lord God and maturing in that faith.
Where possible, KCKA will act as a diplomatic connection
between Christianity, Judaism, and the communities at large.
Who We Are Not...
A clear understanding of our doctrinal
position.
As we read and understand the Word of God (esp.
Isaiah Chapter 56, and Ephesians 2: 11- 22) there can be no such
person as a "Messianic Jew"; neither can there be a "Gentile
Believer". Both are confessions in rebellion to God through the work of
Y'shua. Judaism is the observance and practice of religious rites and
traditions, as established by men, not acknowledging the Messiah Y'shua. Our
Lord did not create a religion, He created a nation of priests, called Israel.
At the same time, the work of Y'shua made available a way for those who did not
know God, or have a covenant relationship with Him (in
other words, Gentiles) to enter into a covenant relationship to Him.
Israel was not done away with, spiritually or otherwise. The
Church of Y'shua is not the replacement of Israel, spiritually or otherwise. The
Lord Y'shua has caused those who were formerly without covenant to now enter
into that covenant by engrafting them into the Nation of Israel and into the
covenant relationship with God the Father. Church is not a noun, it is not a
place; it is a verb. The word church (coming from the
Greek: ekklesia, literally meaning sent out together) represents the
commands of the Lord Y'shua to His Apostles and Disciples to "Go
therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the Name of
the Father, and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I
commanded you..." Matt. 28: 19- 20. We are called to become and
to be Israel; the Church is the vessel by which we are to accomplish that
calling.
Once I submit my faith in the Messiah Y'shua as my Lord and
Savior, I am no longer Jew or Gentile, but a blood-bought resident of the
Kingdom of God. As such I am a new creation in Y'shua (see
Galatians 3:28); I am now... Israel.
Who We Are... Our Statement of Faith
Kadash Chai Kesher
Avodot and its members believe, as a body, that the Word of God
collected together in the form of what is commonly known as the Holy Bible is
the inerrant Word of the Living Father and God of all the Universe. It is
inspired by His Holy Spirit and revealed through His Messiah and our Lord/Savior
Y'shua benYosef (Jesus Christ, the son of Joseph of Nazareth).
KCKA believes the Word of
God is given to the Church for its edification, its reproof, and its instruction
in righteousness. We further believe the Word of God leads the believer to
salvation through the Messiah Y'shua.
KCKA believes Y'shua
benYosef (Jesus Christ) is born of the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary. He is
God in the flesh, and in Him dwells the fullness of the Godhead. We believe He
lived His life in Israel as the Word incarnate in order to demonstrate to all
how to walk out the Word and will of God the Father. He also lived His life on
Earth as a man in order that He would have all things in common with man and
therefore be in a position to know the struggles of man against his adversary,
haSatan. We believe Y'shua, as an act of perfect love and His own free will,
gave His life as a blood atonement for our sins, in order to fulfill the
requirement of death for sin; that we might be redeemed from the curse of death
for our sins, and be restored to the Kingdom of God.
KCKA believes salvation
begins with the reading, learning, and understanding of God's Torah; which
builds faith in the power of God to deliver us from our sins and transgressions.
We believe that faith and understanding enable us to believe Y'shua has
redeemed us; that He is our personal Lord and Savior; that He has sanctified us
by His shed blood, enabling us to come before the Father in a restored
relationship; that by Him, we are reborn as living members of Israel and the
Kingdom of God, no longer Jew or Gentile.
KCKA believes every
believer must be born again by the washing of water, that is by full immersion
baptism supervised by no less than a Deacon of Immersion; and by the receiving
of the Holy Spirit and the imparting of His gifts of ministry to that
individual.
KCKA believes the Church
is the Lord's Earthly vessel for the purpose of spreading the Good News of His
salvation and restoration of all men who will believe to the Kingdom of God. The
Church, and Y'shua's anointed servants, Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, and
Pastors are the ambassadors of Y'shua, representing to all His Word, and His
will in all matters before God the Father. The Church nor its anointed servants
have the authority to change God's Holy Word. They do not have the authority to
add to or take away from any part of it; nor do they have the authority to
change any of God's Holy Days or Appointed Times. KCKA believes Y'shua's
anointed and ordained servants to the Church serve in exactly the same function
and purpose as the Levitical Priesthood.
KCKA believes denominationalism
is the work of haSatan, carried out by the will of men to accomplish division
within the Church and Israel. KCKA believes there is one faith, one Church, one
salvation, One Savior, One God the Father. The Church is the destined bride of
Y'shua the Messiah.
KCKA believes the Word of
God, the Bible, was not given to man to be divided into various parts, known as
Testaments. We believe this division too is the work of haSatan meant to confuse
and divide the Church and hinder the unification of the Church and Israel.
KCKA believes the Word of
God should be taken as simply and literally as possible.
KCKA believes in obeying the whole
Word of God. KCKA believes in loving and serving our Father with all our heart,
soul, mind, and strength.
KCKA believes... The Lord Is
God! Amen!
